My husband bought me a private portrait class with Kirsty as a gift for my birthday. I can draw basics but I was never able to draw faces or animals.

Kirsty came to my house with all the equipment needed. I was immediately impressed by her professionalism and how she made me feel completely at ease, even though I felt I was going to be pretty useless.

I had sent her pictures of my wonderful son who had tragically been killed in a RTA it was so very important to me to be able to draw his face.

The lesson started and so much information to take in. But from start to finish Kirsty had so much patience and guided me so well. I tried several different ways to get the facial outlines on the paper and finally got an image I was happy with, then came the shadows using light and dark techniques to bring his face to life.

At times it was very hard and Kirsty was so kind and understanding, we had several breaks to allow me to re set. My lesson finished with a portrait of my son that I am so so pleased with, and the knowledge that I have used many times since.

She emailed me notes and techniques that I have been able to print and use as reference. Kirsty has given me the confidence to grow my artistic development; I attend her weekly classes and have so much gratitude that she was able to help me create this portrait.

I can thoroughly recommend her as the fantastic teacher that she is.
